One of the perks of  being a photographer is all of the lovely people you meet.  So when a friend reached out to me about capturing her clan, I couldn’t wait to get started.  I knew they would be a pleasure to work with.  Thanks for sweating it out with me everyone – many wonderful pictures are on the way!  All the best to Noah on life’s next adventure!

This is the time of year Floridians start searching for an escape hatch to cooler places – the less swampy, steamy, reptilish and buggy, the better. I’m happy this lovely family reached out to me to capture a few fun family photos before heading to the Pacific Northwest. I hope all of you are having a wonderful time, maybe even wearing long-sleeves in the evenings, and you know, not sweating. That sounds amazing right now. Enjoy you’re preview!

It’s always great hearing from this Mama to schedule more photos. They’re such a lovely, beautiful family to capture, even during this time of year when Florida can be pretty brutal. I’m sad to hear they’re heading north, but also a little jealous over the cooler temperatures they’ll experience. So here is one last photo session in the swamp for now. Safe travels and best wishes for you all in your new home sweet home!

Now and then I wonder if I should be doing something else career-wise – maybe going back to school to pursue something completely different. Maybe going back to marketing, advertising and writing. But there is something to be said about being a photographer, something pretty remarkable about being the one to capture those moments. Those awesome moments we’ll all look back on someday and laugh and cry about and long for so much again.  It’s my job to give families those moments to cherish and hold on to.

Happy Mother’s Day.

This sunshine, landscape and lovely family of four all equaled one wonderful photo session at Philippe Park – one of my favorite outdoor locations in Tampa Bay. Thanks again for reaching out to me.  Your littles are so much fun to photograph!  Enjoy!
